Professional Profile Dr. Larry Ravetz is a hospitalist who is board certified in internal medicine, the specialty that focuses on adult medical care. He practiced general internal medicine for 16 years before becoming a hospitalist in 2006. The hospitalist's role, explains Dr. Ravetz, is to act as the patient's primary care provider while that patient is in the hospital.
