All professional staff on our mother/baby unit can provide support for our breastfeeding mothers. Our team of lactation consultants, nurses and physicians work closely to ensure that you and your family receive the most up-to-date breastfeeding care. We at Doylestown Hospital are take pride in a breastfeeding rate over 90 percent - much higher than the national average.
Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) are specially-trained to help mothers learn the technique of breastfeeding, provide breastfeeding information and support, and prevent and solve any breastfeeding problems. They visit all breastfeeding mothers daily and are here to help you and your baby get off to a great start! A lactation consultant is available from 8 am to 4 pm seven days a week to teach you how to breastfeed, answer questions, and arrange for breast pumps.
