About To Your Health Host - Sheri Putnam
Sheri M. Putnam is the voice of today's healthcare consumer, a role that she developed in nearly 30 years of work across key sectors of the healthcare industry.
She is host of To Your Health with Sheri Putnam, a live talk radio program that airs twice a week on two different radio stations. The program was cited by the Hospital & Healthcare Association of Pennsylvania for its unique outreach, and given a 2004 Achievement Award. Sheri also hosted the cable TV program of the same name broadcast on Suburban Cablevision from 1996-1998.
She serves as executive director of the Bucks County Physician Hospital Alliance, a partnership between Doylestown Hospital and approximately 350 physician members of the Doylestown Independent Practice Association.
Sheri's advocacy for healthcare reform is exhibited in her many articles that have appeared in local, regional and national publications. She has spoken to many groups on healthcare issues, ranging from local and regional Chambers of Commerce to national organizations including the American Hospital Association and the Society for Healthcare Consumer Advocacy.
In 2003, she was named to the Patient Safety Work Group of the Pennsylvania Medical Society's Council on Patient Advocacy, and in 2004 named to the ad hoc task force on Caregivers (focusing on how to improve the medical practice environment for physicians and their patients in Pennsylvania). In 2006 she was appointed to the national Patient Advocate Foundation. She serves on the board of Gilda's Club Delaware Valley and is past president of the YWCA of Trenton. The Bucks County Chapter of the March of Dimes named her a "Woman of Achievement" in October 2004.
