For more than a decade, Dr. Cody has been the team orthopedic surgeon for Central Bucks East High School, and the team physician for New Hope Solebury High School.
While each patient is different, Dr. Cody's objective is the same: "My focus is to work with patients to enable them to achieve their own personal goals. Whether my patient wants to run a marathon or run after grandchildren, my approach is to customize treatment to individual needs, using the latest treatments and techniques available to speed patients back to full activity." Dr. Cody's practice uses state-of-the-art medical technology including high definition cameras and video equipment for arthroscopy. These minimally invasive procedures allow a patient to heal faster and return to activities more quickly.
Dr. Cody is an adjunct lecturer for Arcadia University's Doctoral Physical Therapy Program. He has also done a number of community lectures, speaking about sports medicine and keeping athletes of all ages healthy. Personal Profile
Dr. Cody approaches patient care as a partnership. "Each patient brings his or her own unique problems and personal goals and my approach is to offer a range of options based on my medical knowledge and experience," he says. "There is no single, right answer for everybody, and it takes a partnership to get the best results."
Dr. Cody first became interested in orthopedics as a child when his father, a physical therapist, brought home bone models that sparked his interest in musculoskeletal medicine. That early introduction and a love for physics eventually led to the study of the physics of human motion. For Dr. Cody, returning people to motion is what orthopedics is all about.
For Dr. Cody, Doylestown Hospital's community setting allows for a greater degree of personalized care. "You can be confident that the surgeon who sees you in the office will also be the one performing the surgery," he says.
Dr. Cody is an avid biker, skier and runner, and keeps busy raising four boys.
