A Leader in Heart Attack Care
The Woodall Chest Pain Center of Doylestown Hospital is fully prepared to treat cardiac emergencies around the clock. The program focuses on rapid diagnosis and effective treatment.
- Patients who come to the ER with chest pain or other acute cardiac symptoms are immediately evaluated; if tests confirm that a heart attack is in progress, the patient is quickly moved to the Heart Institute's Cath Lab for an emergency angioplasty.
- Our door-to-balloon time (the number of minutes it takes from the time a heart attack patient enters the ER until the angioplasty balloon is inflated to stop the heart attack) averages 60 minutes, which is consistently and substantially lower than the national standard.
Observation Room & Nurses Station in the Woodall Chest Pain Center

If a patient requires emergency open-heart surgery, a full cardiac surgical team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our cardiac team is specially trained to evaluate the needs of women, whose heart attack symptoms may vary from those of men.
