Megan grew up in Doylestown. After graduating from Lansdale Catholic High School, she entered Doylestown Hospital’s Radiology school to become a radiologic technologist. She worked at Holy Redeemer for five years before joining Doylestown Hospital. That was about 15 years ago.

As a radiologic technologist with the Radiology Department, Megan does fluoro studies (barium studies), diagnostic imaging, including X-ray, and sometimes works in the operating room assisting with orthopedic and urologic cases.

Megan says she truly enjoys her co-workers in this busy department. "I love the hospital. I love what I do and I love working with patients."

According to Nancy Butterworth, MSRIS, RT(R)(N), CNMT, clinical manager/educator Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine: "Megan always arrives with a smile and a ‘good morning.’ After putting her things away and reporting to her scheduled location, she starts directing the workflow. If there is a lull in the imaging exams, Megan calls the different radiology areas to see if they need help. She is the first to volunteer to provide assistance to her co-workers. Megan is very skilled and nothing is too much for her.

During her career at DH, Megan starting working casual then picked up hours as they became available, finally getting a full-time position. With this position came the responsibilities of providing service, not only to all areas of radiology, but to the operating room as well. Megan took on the challenge of learning the functions of a radiographer in the operating room and has since become one of the primary radiology technologists in the OR.

Megan is committed to her co-workers, physicians and patients. She cares how everyone is doing and if you need her, she makes it very known that she is there for you. Megan also works "on call" for after-hours OR coverage and will take on extra call hours if necessary. Megan makes work fun!!"

Megan and husband, Tim, live in Tinicum. They have four children: Brittany Maxwell, who is a nurse on 2 North; Tighe, 16; John, 13, and Jay, 8. Megan is busy with her children's activities and sports. She loves going to Ocean City, NJ on summer weekends. Megan comes from a large family, most of whom live locally, and she enjoys spending time with her relatives.
