November 2013 BRAVO Award
Carolyn Proulx grew up in Warminster and graduated from Archbishop Wood High School. She later worked for the family business, the Warwick Tavern. She and husband, Hubert, married and they have three children, Jacque, 25, Kevin, 21, and Ben, 16.
About 10 years ago, Carolyn started working in the file room at the Health & Wellness Center in Warrington. Five years later, she came to Doylestown Hospital’s Interventional Radiology department, where she is the senior administrative assistant. Carolyn does the scheduling, works on insurance issues, and generally helps keep the busy department running smoothly.
“I love to be busy,” she says. “I love helping people.” Carolyn says it’s the people she works with that make her job enjoyable.
According to Donna Shull, clinical manager in IR: “Carolyn is the ‘welcoming door’ into IRAD. She fields every phone call from anxious patients to physicians’ offices calling to schedule a procedure. She is our administrative assistant, unit clerk, registrar, financial counselor and sanity. She is a friendly voice on the phone when anxious patients call to schedule a procedure they know nothing about. She has a great work ethic and is busy every minute of the day. We appreciate Carolyn daily and miss her when she takes a day off!!”
Carolyn and her family live in Bedminster. She and Hubert have three grandchildren, Bella, 4, Jackson, 2, and Gavin, 6 months. “I like being with my family,” says Carolyn. “That is really what I love to do.” As the youngest of 10 children, she has always enjoyed family activities and time spent together.
