Prostate Cancer Support & Survivorship

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men in the United States. Approximately nine out of 10 men have localized prostate cancer, which is confined to the prostate gland. These men have a 100 percent survival rate over five years. Approximately 5 percent of men are diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, and survival rates depend on how much the disease has spread from the prostate gland to lymph nodes or other organs in the body.

The Cancer Institute of Doylestown Hospital is at the forefront of community-based hospitals serving the Philadelphia northern suburbs in prostate cancer care. Our goal is to care for patients from the time of initial diagnosis, during treatment and throughout recovery and survivorship. Read on to learn about support and survivorship resources available for patients at Doylestown Hospital.
